Guest Thurem
Reading this thread here, http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19853 I got in touch with the guy from JSK and suggested that he make the rotorhats to mount 12.2" by 1.25" rotors and Wilwood Superlite calipers. Anyways, he is gonna make them for $225 including the adaptors for the calipers. Then you just have to track down the rotors (can be had for 46 bucks a piece and up) and the calipers (seen those starting at about 100 bucks). So check out this guys site. http://jskinnovations.com/wilwood.htm Lemme know whaddaya think. Thure

Jwink25
I might get the front brake spacers he has. It's cool to see more people making Z performance stuff.
CruxGNZ
YES!!!!! When can I buy them???? I have been looking for someone around here that would make me some rotor hats, but if he is making them then I'm sold. I need front brakes real bad! !M! Tim240z
http://www.fonebooth.com/brakes_zcar.html What will the advantages be over this kit? Thicker rotor? The above kit is bolt on, I don't think any adapter is required for the calipers. The less parts needed, the better, especially with something as crutial as brakes. CruxGNZ
Well for me, I can purchase the calipers and rotors localy very cheap. I just needed to find someone to make the rotor hats. Everyone that I have talked to in Milwaukee won't do single orders or they are just to busy. I'll only have a few hundred into the front brakes when I'm done and still have a bad@ss setup. !M! Tim240z
Matt, What parts are you using? Specs? I'm still looking into the front brake solution..... What calipers? What rotor? Do your calipers bolt up without adapters? Tim

CruxGNZ
I will end up with what you see above, but I may go with the Wilwood Superlite calipers. I can get the rotors and calipers downtown from a speed shop that deals with circle track cars. I just have to price out the Wilwood and Outlaw stuff, not sure what I want to go with yet. I don't have the spec sheet on me, but the rotors that were available to me were the same sizes offered by scca. The speed shop guy just had rotor hats that slid over the studs. That's why I've been looking for someone to make some rotor hats for me. As for the adaptors for the calipers, I don't think we will be able to find a bolt on aftermarket caliper for use with a larger diameter rotor. If I remember right scca's calipers needed an adaptor to bolt to the strut, BUT please don't quote me on that. Speaking of him, you don't see him post much on here anymore. !M! Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
The picture you posted is not a stock setup. It is a universal straight fin from what I can tell. The package I am going to be supplying is for Wilwood rotors and caliper. They must be custom mounted. Did you notice the price of that setup and the other more expensive stages.A nice fully equipped brake system can be had for under $600. What's more important is supplying the mounts for the rotor and caliper than the complete setup. This provides with consumer options. I appreciate the great feedback. I might actually have it ready much sooner.I have been working on the webpage like I have no life. Tim there is still the option of using the 84 300zx vented rotor and 88 4runner caliper. The caliper mounts with no mods (trim the dust shield with angle grinder) but the 300zx rotor needs a spacer to properly center the rotor.Could be had for $300 complete. Guest Enraged
wow, those rotors are cheaper than the powerslots i bought for my supra... i dont suppose you would be interested in making a big brake kit for a MKIII (87-92) supra? haha
Mikelly
Tim, I have the Outlaws by Mike Gibson. The advantage (If there is one) will be Cost. I also have the wilwood calipers from another source and they are almost identical to the Outlaws as far as design and performance... I think My calipers are the Superlites... They are massive... I paid $1000 to Mike for the fronts with that same setup in your pick...12.2 rotor, aluminum hat... I'll be contacting this guy for the hats for the rear setup on my Car. That will give me 12.2's all the way around... Wilwoods at one end and Outlaws at the others. So for basically $225, plus the $120 I spent for the calipers, and another $100 for rotors I'd have the same kit??? $445, Is that right??? That is SWEET! My only issue is I need five lug! Tim240z
Definitely count me in, especially if a group buy will affect a lower price point. Tim
Guest Enraged
couldnt the hats be drilled for 5 lug upon request? it would be a small program change on a CNC, but not that much extra work, then again, ive only written simple CNC mill and lathe programs. Guest Tempe_Z
Isn't this pretty much duplicating the Arizona Z car setup? I like the idea of just making adapters that will mount any (well many) Wilwood calipers. Heck if you make a kit for the rear down the road that would kick much butt. May I ask that if you do offer rear adapters down the road that you please leave the provision for the wilwood mechanical spot caliper as a parking brake on your adapter? Or offer one with and without it though I suspect most people probably would go for the "with" option in that case. Since it's going to be less money and even if you folks at JSK tried you couldn't possibly be less pleasant to deal than Dave at Arizona Z car usually is, I'm all in favor of your kit. ToplessZ
Is there any way that this could be modified to work on the back as well?
