Well, their description of putting the spacer on the engine block, then the setback plate, then mount is correct. But the photos show it with the setback plate on the block, then spacer, then mount. I made notes in my manuals (1st and 7th editions) to that effect.

The pass/driver side thing is another one though. Just remember that you're putting the engine over to the right and that would mean the larger spacer would be on the left to move it there.

Yeah, I noticed that too. My mistake was not the spacers, I switched the set back plates from right to left. Did ya'll also notice that in the pics in the JTR manual, the setback plates don't "set back" as much as the ones they sell? If you look real close at how the motor mounts line up, you can see the difference.

I know, I should pay that much attention to my wife. What color are her eyes again?

Guest BigWhyteDude

Why does the JTR kit set the engine over to the right rather than centering it in the engine bay?

I know im retarded :ugg: but still i want ta know

I dont know if this is why.....but I would think since most of the time there is only 1 person in the car then why not set it up so the engine is slightly over towards the passanger side so that the weight is evenly distributed when your by yourself?

That would be my guess! :D
