Motor is all crooked, bolts won't go in! I want my money back! Those guys must be idiots!....Oh...wait a minute.....I've got one of the brackets on wrong...let me fix that...........WOW! motor fits perfectly! JTR rocks! Best conversion ever! I love those guys. I've had my engine out a couple of times in the past and the last time it was out, I got a alpha-numeric punch set and punched DRV and PASS into the T spacers so I would know where they go. pparaska Posted June 11, 2003 Share Posted June 11, 2003 Well, their description of putting the spacer on the engine block, then the setback plate, then mount is correct. But the photos show it with the setback plate on the block, then spacer, then mount. I made notes in my manuals (1st and 7th editions) to that effect. The pass/driver side thing is another one though. Just remember that you're putting the engine over to the right and that would mean the larger spacer would be on the left to move it there. Did ya'll also notice that in the pics in the JTR manual, the setback plates don't "set back" as much as the ones they sell? If you look real close at how the motor mounts line up, you can see the difference. I know, I should pay that much attention to my wife. What color are her eyes again? 80LS1T Posted June 16, 2003 Share Posted June 16, 2003 I dont know if this is why.....but I would think since most of the time there is only 1 person in the car then why not set it up so the engine is slightly over towards the passanger side so that the weight is evenly distributed when your by yourself?
