auxilary
So, DavyZ and I went to the blackhawk show yesterday where we met up with 73BotiZ and Donna. Upon wandering among the Z cars, we stumbled onto a 240z. It looked like this: And the motor... I apologize I couldn't get better pics of under the hood, because it was propped by a 2foot rod, so the hood was only half open. Since it wasn't my car, I wasn't about to go touching it The owner's name is David, and his father has a blue 240z with an n/a vg30 motor in it. The owner was cool and friendly, provided ton of insight, and I invited him to check out hybridz.org, since he would definitely be an assett here. The block head ends where strut towers begin, so it's pretty far back to provide good balance. the swap is incredibly cleanly done, intercooler is not visible by much, and the exhaust pipe is from a yamaha r1

Dayz
That is really nice , I wonder how he fitted that pipe from a r1, the volume of air at the exhaust is bigger than on a bike!! That would make a good sound

The owner said "It's loud" to describe the car, but I would think the turbo would help quiet the thing down a bit. Very very nice finishing work and engineering in this car and a V6 car his dad owns. Kudos to both of them. I think the red car won "Best of Show." Davy

I am doing this same swap, allready bought a 71 240Z, and got my hands on a R200 turbo LSD rear, drive shaft, half shafts and rear suspention. I am tring despretly to find someone who did this swap to sell me some mounts! I figure its going to be enough headache setting up the fuel cell, fuel lines, and electronics..i'm trying really hard to avoid the mess of mesuring out and building mounts. Anyone who maybe able to help me with mounts please post. i'll pay pretty. IE that guys phone # lol. Thanks !
