sorry for the link but dont have any pictures on this computer that i am using at the moment
Well done, nice to see another RB26 240Z.
Did you run into any ignition issues with the Autronic SM4? I used to run an SM2 with mine but have now sold it on. It used to heat up the ignitor pack (the square thing on top of the spark plug cover) really fast and cause missfire. I was told that it was due to the fact that they batch fire the rather then run sequential for the ignition.
Not sure if that caused the problem or if it was wired up wrongly.
I have run out of excuses to not finish mine (just needs another ecu and minor cosmetics) so I should get onto it shortly
Maybe you can make some videos of the car so we can all get warm and fuzzy over it?!
from the fatctory R32 GTR manual:
standard value: 171 psi @ 300 rpm
limit value: 128 psi @ 300 rpm
compression variance limit between cylinders: 14 psi @ 300 rpm
not sure how you got the 180 psi???!!!
hope that helps,
Cuong
i was told the VL turbo box was not double synchro like the RB25DET box but not sure if that is correct/true
also the VL turbo are getting quite hard to find and due to their age might also require a rebuild
you can pick up RB25DET 5 speeds for around AUD$1200 to AUD$1500
Hi Mike, looks good I might be interested once I get mine running again.
Is that Franks car? There is also a standard bore R33 GTR block for sale in Perth AUD$800 if you are still looking for one.
Here is one prepared earlier...

240z master - try http://www.wazregister.com/rb240z/stony - i havent had a chance to touch the car for ages due to work. have since sold the Autronic SM2 ECU and going to run a plug and play ECU of some type. Have also bought a 302W V8 240Z as well so doing abit of work on that too.
Hi Thomas,
I love the work that you have done on that car. I have also seen a sister car to yours, a yellow 240Z.
What are the door mirrors that you guys have used?
Thank you in advance,
Cuong Nguyen
I have a picture of a 240Z that has had some VW Beetle flares installed, it looks like the VB flares but much wider.
Was trying to attach the picture to this post but I am unable to post attachmnets?
