BRAD D
a long time ago.... I took the diff out of a 85 200sx Turbo sand blasted and painted it up and tossed it in, not thinking about it being a 4.11. I just wanted to get the thing running ratio did not matter to me at the time. 8) Sorry this just came to me when I saw a for sale ad for one ...I wonder if it will be a good ratio for the RB??? this weekend I hope to get it running
stony
depends on tire size. i had a 3.90 and it was really way to tall for the r-33 mission. you have to consider that the r-33 GTS-T has l;ike a 4.5 or 4.7 or something like that in it stock. i put a 4.88 inmine with 26 inch tires and the calculators say i will be turning 8000rpm at 127mph so i might have to jam 5th at the last second

Bob_H
Don't forget the stock R-33 RB26 had a 4.11 diff. I think you will be fine. -Bob
Guest michael_240Z
you guys also have to remember that the 70-78 Zs weigh about 800 lbs less than ANY model skyline so a taller gear such as the 3.90 isn't really gunna hurt the acceleration but the rb engines do rev higher than the L series so you will need a lower gear than what they would normally use.
