Guest bastaad525
how many words can you guys think of to tell a guy he's way too big I am baffled myself how I ever came to be attracted to such a small car... and was amazed to find I actually fit better and sat more comfortably in the smaller 240z, than in the two, larger, first gen ZX's that I've owned. You know I guess legroom is a LITTLE bit of a problem though, when cruising on the freeway for a long period of time, my right leg will start to feel kinda cramped and my right hip/socket area will get sore... something about the angle I have to bend my knee and hold my leg up at... so it is a kinda short space. And I hate that the mechanic who swapped my turbo motor in put the turbo ECU right in front of the dead pedal for my left foot making it nearly useless... that really impacts on long cruise comfort as well. Gonna have to move that damn thing...

Guest 1975yellowBSPZ
I'm 6'2" 230, It takes a bit to get in bc of my corbeaus - but quite comfortable once I'm there. The problem I have is my size 12 wide feet. Tough to get from the dead pedal to the clutch/brake and back wo snaring the clutch pedal, just takes so getting used to and your leg can get tired from keeping your left leg more bent then you normally would. I think we should be comparing shoe size, that seem to be the real trick with these!!! Bw
Guest BigWhyteDude
geez Phyte thats alot of weight in a relatiely short period of time. How did you accomplish that? was it the Subway diet?
Phyte
geez Phyte thats alot of weight in a relatiely short period of time. How did you accomplish that? was it the Subway diet? haha, no. It was a combination of things. Slim fast, and riding my bike 10 miles a night. I bought a trailor for my bike and pull my two sons behind me. Nothing like adding an extra 100 pounds for resistance I've always been able to loose weight quickly. I'm going for 230. Phyte
z-REX
y'know phyte... if we all did what you did our cars would get so much faster but then again, i'm 5'11 175 and if i lost much weight i'd disappear.
75280z
I feel like i am probably the skinniest tall guy on this forum i am 6'2" and i weigh a wopping 120 pounds..
JMortensen
How old are you 75280z? I was just like you till I hit 20 6' and 121lbs. I just couldn't break that 121, no matter what I ate (was up to about 4500 calories a day). Metabolism went from ultra hyper speed to normal, and over the course of the last 8 years I've managed to pack on 60 lbs. I like it though because people see me now even when I turn sideways Jon

RPMS
im about 6-5 300 and most of it WAS muscle about a year ago i quit lifting wieghts and i kind grew horazontaly but do you think i could fit into a 76-78 280 reasonably well? Hey, BWD! I thought you already HAD an early Z? I feel your pain about the horizontal spread. I had to stop going to the gym about six months ago, and it's amazing how all that hard work will go straight to your... well, you know. All the bulk goes south. just 6 feet maybe 165 or so..mostly muscle from muay thai and wrestling. any tips on getting huge? haha Sure, it's easy. Eat big, lift big, and sleep big. Drink lots of whole milk, and make plenty of trips to the buffet.
JKDGabe
Scott's right on. Most people neglect the rest portion even if they've got the other two down... I ended up losing weight just because I couldn't get the necessary rest. "Super Squats" from http://www.ironmind.com is pretty good.
spotfitz
I must admit, that was a very informative site. Thanks for the link. I will definitely use it in the near future.

Tough to get from the dead pedal to the clutch/brake and back wo snaring the clutch pedal, just takes so getting used to and your leg can get tired from keeping your left leg more bent then you normally would. Ah man, I hear you on that! I have the same problem, size 13 and very wide feet. Whenever I take my Z out, I have to wear some running shoes because they are more flexible than anything else I have. Sometimes I actually just take my shoes off, but it feels wierd when you heel/toe coming into a corner. At least I won't have to worry about fumbling around the pedals to much next year, because my swap will be to an automatic. FYI, 6' 2" 190lbs. and fit in my '73 just fine (my head is about an inch from the headliner), well except for the same problem that bastaad525 is having with my right leg getting numb, my knee hurting and my @ss falling asleep. The angle that your leg is at is all wrong... maybe a different seat will cure this? I need to change seats anyhow, I'm falling out of the stock seats while cornering, kind of scarey . !M! Eat big, lift big, and sleep big. Drink lots of whole milk, and make plenty of trips to the buffet. [/quote'] Juice!! It's NAAWZ for the body!! Been there, done that, loved it!! Used to be a competitive BB...that was until I blew out 3 tendons in my left knee!! It was great fun, but I think the hardest part for me was eating enough!! 6 Meals a day...for example...lunch consisted of a whole chicken, can of tuna, bowl of rice and 2 baked potatoes...plus all the 'supplements'. I got to the point where I would throw it all in a blender (all of the above), and then just drink it. That was gross, but more convenieint.... I too ballooned in the last few years. I used to be 5'11" and 225lbs....but that was with about 6% bodyfat. I then got to 230lbs with 'a lot more' bodyfat. In the past three months I've gotten down to 187lbs!! Thanks Dr. Atkins!! BTW...even at my heaviest, the Z was a comfortable car. Tim
