mas28O
Does anyone know if there are after market wheel studs for the Z-car. I need some longer wheel studs to pass the NHRA rules.
jkube
ARP has some wheel studs for a Camaro. The size is about 2" long has .59 knurl on it. they fit well into the zcar. Thread pitch is different so you have buy new wheel nuts Sorry but I dont have the packages any more so I cant give you the part number. PETEW
If you want the stock thread pitch (1.25) than you are very limited. You can buy the NISMO studs which are 2.5" long but cost $8/stud or $65/ ten pack. Or you can go the inexpensive route like me and get studs for a Nissan Quest, that about 1 13/16" from head to end of stud, for about $1.29. I don't know how long you have to go, but they are much longer than stock fronts on a 280Z and about 3/16" longer than the drum rears. Hope this helps. Owen
I'm using the GM/Honda 12x1.50 pitch available from ARP at Summit. I want to make sure I use quality, high strength pieces. Plus wheel locks are available for this pitch all over. Owen
mas28O
Owen I have a set of the Honda wheel studs on order, they should come in today. Looks like they are 12mm 1.5 2.5" long. I hope they are long enough. Mike

auxilary
someone posted about using nissan minivan studs for a whole lot cheaper, like 1.29/stud from napa. i don't have specifics, but you may want to search for it
Owen
Mike, I have mine too and they are as you said, I hope the knurl diameter is correct or bigger than the holes tho. Auxilary, Those are the Quest ones mentioned above. But I just can't help wondering if they're gonna stand up to hard launches and whatever other kinda reckless driving I'm gonna do!
