Dramier
Christ! $6k for an RB25DET???????? You should spend no more than $3600 tops. I know, because I have the receipt to prove it. There are places that are very trustworthy who sell RB25's alot cheaper than 6k. Shop around.
Guest 250z
I think he meant the whole Skyline GTS-25T for 6K wich is about right

CZCAR
hey, the projects, well going, im just working out the hole weilding upwards with a inch or 2 gap(below the door, car at ground level) gravity is definately not my friend!! Yeah i can get it all for about 2800, and im tryna estimate the cost on evrything else, i reckon itll cost me a nother 3000 dollars (NZ) to get it goin , so 2800 - engine 200 - all piping ( got a mandrel bender, get stainless pipe cheap from mount stainless) 600 - intercooler free - wiring, engine mounts 200 - fuel pump 2000 - misc, p.s i work at a Autoplace so get everything like pumps, gauges cheap as. but yeah that soundz bout rite...its still runing thru my mind, getting a l20et and combining it with my l28, hard to decide...that way i can throw 3-4 grand at that engine....any ideas

fl327
I dont know if I get them very cheap or not, about 3k, but the thing is with my import guy is that he doesnt charge me more if it has aftermarket on it already, and its been tested. plus if its crap, he takes it back!!! akeizm
I see alot on these forums about rb25's? How come, is it because they're alot easier to find? Or is there some advantage I don't know about? Also, I was reading an Import mag (Australian one) and there are import companies advertising 5,500 for a skyline 1/2 cut with an rb26det. Don't know if thats a good price.
fl327
its probably because the rb25 is rwd, vs. 26 being awd and needing a seperate trans to be sourced out. 5500 sounds average.
