Take a look guys, it's a nice one. I like the Ferrari shifter and gate. BTW, It doesn't have to be glossy. I saw a colored carb, valve cover set and pulleys on ebay and I think the guy said he was getting a killer deal on an injection setup for a Ferarri or something? I offer both style dashes and you can see more info about them at http://www.reactionresearch.com/dash.htm . That's a GREAT looking car. Anyone have contact info on that guy? I can't seem to find it in his gallery. I'd love to document it for the GTO Replica Register (http://www.gtorr.com) on which I hope to be doing some work this winter. Although I haven't seen his car, he lives about 20 miles from me here in Michigan. This will get some people excited - in his last email he advised me that he was able to find the guy who made my valve covers. Supposedly the guy had five pair left so he picked up a set! It's a great looking car but it is getting better. He has bought Scorpion Z's trunk kit and lots of other parts. It's my understanding he intends to re-paint it as well. Also, although it's not shown on his web site, the last time I talked to Mickey over at Inglese http://www.inglese.com/ he had 24 un-machined SBC manifolds that had four DCNF (yes, that's the same carbs the the real Ferrari used) running right down the middle of the manifold. Yes, Speedracer I am going for the weber setup, dispite all of the warnings of how difficult it is to tune. I figure if Im going for the full Ferrari feel, then I have to go Weber! I am tearing my hair out trying to chose the color that Im going to paint the car. I am open for suggestion's. When I think Ferrari, I think Red. Although my car does look sexy in it's 11 year old Midnight blue paint. BTW, I live on Long Island In New York FYI. It has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy to own a Ferrari 250 GTO. Unfortunately, I can't handle the multi-million dollar price tag! This is the next best thing, In fact in some way's it's better! If you have worked on one of these car's then I know that you know what I mean. Im in the mortgage business, and I am doing a loan for a gentleman who owns a Ferrari repair shop. When I mentioned to him my interest in the GTO, he went on to tell me that not only had he driven one. At one time he had 6 of the 39 made in his garage! He said that he has a video (which he said he is going to give me a copy) of a man getting into a GTO and driving ball's out full speed through the streets of Paris! Your car is looking great and if you decide to go with the Weber's you HAVE to call Mickey at Inglese http://www.inglese.com/ Four DCNF Weber carbs lined up down the middle looks awesome!! It is not the normal setup Weber IDA or IDF that you see. They are the very carbs that Ferrari uses and they line up back to back right down the center of the manifold (which will also fit under the bump in the hood). You will need a front drive or angle drive distributor since there is no room with all those carbs. With the Kirkco vavle covers, add a remote oil filter and you will fake out many, many people.
