Guest kurt8394
What do you guys think is the perfect tire size for the slotted 14's that came on the z ??? i was thinkin about 195/60/14, any ideas ?
Synlubes
215/60R/14 fit and look well on the car. You would want a 7" wheel.
Guest kurt8394
215/60r/14??? i thought that would be too tall, do you have any photos of tires like that on a Z
yo2001
Zcar looks pretty good with about 25-26 inch tall tires. fills in the fenderwells nicely. IMO I've ran 225/60/14, 225/60/15, and now 215/50/17.
Xander
I was looking for a good picture of my car from the side, but it seems that I don't have one . I also have the 5 slot wolfrace wheels. I am running 195/65-14. They look well but are actually to small. 195/70-14 was OEM on this car. Perhaps 215/65-14 is a better choice. this like may be usefull: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html good luck
Guest Drewz
I was running 235/60 14's on my fine line turbines that were 7 inch wide. I will see if I have an old pic still.
TomoHawk
Isn't it more important to use the tires that make your speedo read the correct speed?
yo2001
I got me a GPS.
Guest Drewz
What I did to check how far out my speedo was is to drive beside my wife on the highway and in the city to see how much the diff. is. Also I am running a 200r4 chev trans so I thought it would really be out to luch but it isn't real bad for me.
Synlubes
Isn't it more important to use the tires that make your speedo read the correct speed? This can also be corrected with a speedo pinion gear change.

Guest kc6wfs
14R60205's should not rub at all. I ran them on my 240Z. 225's will rub. I just put on 15R60235's on the rear today.. Well looks I have some more grinding to do... Dave
