DavyZ
Awesome car. The more I see the LS1 Vettes on the road, the more I think I'd REALLY like owning one. It would make one heck of a commute car for me, although I think the benefit of getting to work faster would be far outweighed by the negative of getting tickets Davy
Guest bastaad525
Oh my lord... is it.. I think it's... omg it's SMILING AT ME!!! I'm sorry but... are they trying to be Dodge-Neon-Cute this time around? Like... the original Neon ad campain had the smiling front end of that car saying "hi".... with this new Vette what will it be... "Please sir can you move out of my way " I love everything about it but the front fascia... sorry but I dont like my muscle cars to smile, rather they grimace and say "MOVE!". My lord it's fog lights even look like little dimples... and the Vette badge is it's little nose... come ON!!! Sorry but I'm not gonna drool just because it's a Vette... Wagz
Maybe it's the "smile" that did it for my wife. My wife is NOT into sports cars or cars in general, but last night we were watching TV and some show was featuring the new 'Vette so, of course, I stopped channel surfing to check it out. Out of left field my wife says: "Wow, that is a really nice looking car!" Of course, I've zeroed-in on her response and am starting a subtle campaign to burn this car into her sub-conscience mind and convince her we HAVE to own one. I'll let you guys know how it goes... Although, I gotta disagree with you. I don't think it's smiling. I LIKE IT.
spotfitz
Looks to me like their trying to take on Viper, with it's looks. It's still pleasant to the eyes, but the lights and front fenders look alot like the lastest Viper to me. This is not to say I wouldn't drive one if it was given to me, but I wouldn't pay the monthly payments on one. Not on my salary atleast. Mikelly
I've heard everything from Viper to Acura... I personally like the car... I Love the headlights, and I like the fact that the car is physically smaller... I don't like the fact that the targa takes up all the hatch space, as mine leaves room for some cargo, but that is the price paid for the smaller platform. What this will do is make an affordable supercar (The C5) even more affordable... Having owned one of these cars now, If I had to pick only one car to live with... Well, you guys don't want to hear this, but my current Vette would get my pick hands down. Mike
Chaparral2f
I like it. Would this look good with a split window like the early stingrays?
Guest Aaron
For me, I hate to see the vette without the flip up headlights. I think I have heard it is the first one since '63 that does not have them. I like going back to the round tail lights, but the butt is just too big for that car. Also, another styling issue I have had with GM cars recently is the relativly large area of fender between the top of the rear wheel arch, and the fender, That is one of the big problems have with cars such as the Monte Carlo, and the new GTO. Thats just my opinion. You payed $0.00 for it, you get what you pay for.
