Mikelly
OK, so here is the deal... I've got Mike Gibson's 12.19 inch 5 lug brake setup up front and I've got some disk brake mounts for the rear and a variety of different five lug rotors. I'm also contemplating buying Juan's setup for the rear. Here is the dilemma... I've got Outlaw 4000 series calipers in 1 3/43 piston configuration. I've also got some Wilwood 1 7/8th & 1 3/4 differential bore calipers. I've ALSO got a set of Wilwood Dynalite Single piston Calipers... So what should I put on the rear??? The single Piston calipers would be the natural choice, except the LOOK ( ) Very small on a 17 inch wheel setup. I've thought about picking up a set of Outlaw 2800 series calipers for the rear and just using those with the 4000 and getting rid of everything else... Running the stock 85 ZX Turbo Rotor on the rear, which is an 11.25 inch solid rotor. What do you guys think I should do... Using the ZXMaster and 2+2 Booster with a Brake Lock and Wilwood proporting valve. Mike 8)
johnc
What is the intended usage of said vehicle?
Modern Motorsports Ltd
What do you guys think I should do...Mike 8) My most honest response...Sell all the various parts systems you've got collected, and I'll set you up with fully engineered, matched: 2 piece 13" Xtreme setups front and rear that will meet all needs with great longevity/tops in rotors etc and DOT seals with aluminum calipers. No guesswork and you can dial it in to yank your monzta Z down quicker than your Z06 Pick your custom rotor 9" OD hat colour and the 13's have all the bling when they catch up to later with all their questions
JMortensen
I don't think two piston dynalites are going to keep up with 4000 calipers in the front. They might do alright with the 2000 series calipers that John C has in front, but you've got a lot bigger pad up there. Maybe a small 4 piston caliper in the back, like a 4 piston dynalite or an outlaw 2000 or 2800. Just as an example you may want to look at AZC's brakes. They use wilwood superlites in the front and ndl's in the rear. I would think that this would be comparable to outlaw's 4000s and 2000s.
