Guest zfan
I think my 8 month old 355 sbc just crapped out today. Less than 3 thousand miles on it. Ran it at the track two weeks ago and had it at my friends for the last week for some cool mods. Went to fire it up for the first time and I think she crapped a bearing. I am going to take it to my builder tomorrow and let him have a look at it. I'm really getting sick of this. Three 350's and they all suck, one after the other. Sorry just venting. 3k down the drain. I think I may listen to my good friend and go stroker 383. Mike
Mike C
Sorry to hear about your loss... but I must say, not the 350's fault! Were all done by same builder? I think I would look elsewhere...
Guest Anonymous
Hope you get to the bottom of solving the problems.
Mudge
Are you using the same builder each time? If you are, I would bet that is probably your problem. There are some crappy people in this industry, leaky heads etc
Guest FordMotherFocus
Sorry to hear it Mike. I have heard bad things about Mickey over on some Mustang forums. They have seen alot of spun bearings come out of Competition Machine on freshly built motors. I am going to rebuild mine but I'm not taking it to Mickey. Guest zfan
Well I was wrong! Harmonic balancer crapped out as well as loose bolts on the torque converter. Rebuilding my 700r4 as we speak. New hp GM balancer 6 1/2" in place of the old crapped out 8". Loc-tite red on those sneaky converter bolts! Looking forward to getting her together and going for low 12's maybe high 11's unless I decide to spray her Mike
