Guest 71rb240z
Which springs would you use for your z? Tokico springs or Eibach?
Brad-ManQ45
For what? Just street - Eibach - better ride. Autocross/racing - Tokico/other straight/non progressive for best handling/responsiveness.
gramercyjam
EIBACH ERS
Synlubes
http://www.arizonazcar.com/springs.html I think they need to be cut some to lower the car, but stiffer than the others.
Drax240z
Tokico all the way. I find progressive springs are quite unpredictable in hard driving/racing, and when coupled with quality dampers, the ride quality doesn't seem to suffer much with the Tokico springs. Miles
Drax Which Tokico springs and what spring rates? I have seen them advertised in MSA as 25% stiffer then stock which would be about 125 lb/in. ??? I put the Arizona springs in my V8 240Z and it is a little stiff. The Arizona springs are shorter than stock but are stiff enough (180 front, 200 rear) that the ride height remains stock. Drax240z
I'm comparing the eibach pro kit and the tokico advanced handling kit... which include 'generic' tokico lowering springs. I haven't calculated the rates for the 240z, but I am 99% certain they are less than what you'd have with the AZC springs. (if I guessed I'd say ~160-180lb/in for the tokico stuff)
gramercyjam
I am now forced to repeat myself - EIBACH ERS
