Guest tdignj
I'm sure many of you have installed fuel cells......which ones worked and why? I have to replace mine to switch to EFI, so why not just put in a fuel cell? Do I need to find a baffled one? clarkspeed
If used on the track, consult your rulebook for legality. I prefer ATL or Fuelsafe. They are the best. For street, I don't know any one stands out. You get what you pay for. The foam acts as a baffle.
rc's240z
ATL makes a well cell tank (12 Gallons) that fits into the spare tire well nicely. I suggest a surge tank, especially for a fuel infected car internal pumps are available as well. Retail for a well cell with surge tank is around $600.00. I purchased one of these tanks and it works great for my race car.
SR240Z
ron where did you buy your ATL Well Cell from?
rc's240z
Directly from ATL
ToplessZ
What is the matter with the summit cells. They are about 200 dollars for the 10 gallon tigwelded aluminum with the foam filling. Why is a 600 dollar cell required. I want to get one for my turbo setup but definatly cant afford 200 dollars. Theyn there are the plastic cells that are also foam filled and a 12 gallon cell is only 103 dollars? Is there something wrong with these type cells? JMortensen
They aren't approved for racing.
rc's240z
Jon is correct... You get what you pay for too. If your not racing it won't be that big of an issue. But for a fuel injected car you will need a surge tank within the tank itself with trap doors. In some applications a pump as well. ATL will build your cell to order and they build a superior product. I suggest that you contact them directly, they are genuinely interested in what you are doing and how you plan to implement their cell. They will also make recomendations based on their experience. All in all, I would buy another cell from them if I needed to.
