zlalomz
I saw the dreaded EPA van with multiple detectors set up on an on ramp near the Mather entrance to Hwy 50 this morning on my commute.
2126
So Steve, does this mean you're now putting a tune-up on your Z? Guilt is a terrible thing, isn't it?

zlalomz
My Z is autocross only but when it wasn't, I admit to some quick detours to avoid the tailpipe sniffers. They used to set up on a road to the race gas supplier by my house to catch the leaded high octane hot rods coming to fill up. So I guess my guilt is from past, not current transgresses. JMortensen
When they had those in Simi Valley and Moorpark CA years back that's what my friend with dual Mikunis on his 510 did. He didn't shut it off, but he would put it in neutral and idle past. He'd just blast up the onramp then roll on by. He never got pulled over and they used to set the trailer up on the onramp he used to go home from work, so it worked for him more than once. SHO-Z
Get yourself a real big electric air pump an tie it into your exhaust system. When they want to check the car turn it on and smile.
