Hugh
I didn't realize my 240z's fusebox was causing me problems... I saw the melted spot and considered repairing it... then I spotted the Motorsport Auto 240z fusebox with blade type fuses and an actual circuit board instead of a hunk of plastic with metal tabs riveted to it... The price was a little high, but seemed worth it in potential benefits. (and safety) I put it in yesterday, and to my suprise... my Tach started working! My blinkers are also more consistent now... so I assume they are seeing more current than they were. Now I want to go through and replace all the main power and ground lines to improve it a little more. Well worth it, in my opinion.
DaleMX
Mine is melted in several places too. That plus about half of the wires have been tapped into by means of stripping and electrical tape. I need to replace mine.
Hugh
And my interior dome light turns on now!! Unbelievable... I was getting into the car last night. I opened my door... and to my suprise, I could see inside the car! Oh man I'm loving this. It's saving me having to track down little electrical gremlins in the car. Gollum
do the first gen z's have that many electrical problems? Man, talk about the dark ages...
dot
Man, talk about the dark ages... Hey....hurt feelings...I remember when these were new cars! Do the wipers go any faster than hour hand slow now?
Hugh
I didn't use my wipers much at all before we started getting all this rain in the past few days. Mine are running perfectly fine! Seriously. I read the thread about everyone complaining they were super slow... mine seem fine. They did seem slower before, but I thought it was from lack of usage? (It doesn't rain much here)
JaysZ
has anyone done their home made version with the instructions on zcarcreations?
CruxGNZ
The only thing I saw on zcarcreations.com was for a fuseable link upgrade, not a fusebox upgrade. !M!
JaysZ
oh i thought thats what he was talking about. has anyone ever made either of these? it would definately be a lot cheaper..
Hugh
I'm talking about the actual fusebox inside the car, the one with a dozen or so fuses in it. MSA made a modern type with blade style fuses.
