However, the book “How to Modify Your Nissan/Datsun OHC Engine” by Frank Honsowetz has the cam tower bolt spec at only “10 to 13 ft-lbs”, quite a difference! Yeah I'm afraid another one was starting to strip on it's way to 25 ft-lb but I'm too scared to check yet. I also noticed that the cam started getting a little tight above about 15 ft-lb. Synlubes Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I have always gone with 12 ft-lbs. If you have a problem (over tourque and strip one), heli-coils will fix things.
