mtcookson
hmm... looks like it is legit. RD28E http://history.nissan.co.jp/ELEMENTS/MECHANISM/laurel9908_engine4.html http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/20403/ ~ 100 hp ~ 131 ft. lb. of torque SOHC Diesel (duh... lol) 2825 cc 21.8:1 cr Bore - 85 mm Stroke - 83 mm One of the cars it came in is the Nissan Crew (2nd link above)
Zhadman
Edit - MtCookson beat me to it! It's not a typo. It's a diesel engine (obviously). I don't think they were sold too much here in the states (I could be wrong on that one). It was non turbo, had 21:1 compression, 85mm bore x 83mm stroke, and came in the Nissan Gloria and the Patrol (I think).
zcarnut
Also used in the Nissan Patrol. BTW, Nissan makes a wide range of diesel powerplants: http://www.blairs.co.nz/diesel/diesel4.html http://www.ijasa.com/paginas/nissan.htm

NZeder
The RD28 was also used in the later Nissan Laurel early Laurel's had the LD28 as an option (good if you are looking for the diesel crank). Found this link that has a list of Nissans and the engine options offered (JDM I assume) http://shop.importdriver.com.au/store/products/category191.inetstore
frank280zx
jep that looks like a patrol engine ( or better is ) , the heads of teh l28's are a weakspot though, they tend to crack internally !
