Any of you turbo guys have this happen?

Recommended Posts

have a turbo motor in my 77. My problem mainly happens when the car is warmed up and that is when I try to boost the car it will go to 0 but not past or if it does it just stumbles. However this is sporadic. This has happened to me when it was cold to... but not near as often. otherwise the car runs great and will boost just fine and pull hard. to me I'm thinking it has to be something electrical

If an engine runs better when warmed up than when cold, it usually means the engine is lean. It could also be from weak spark or incorrect ignition timing.

It's usually a good idea to let and engine reach full operating temp before boosting, anyways. That way all the metal has reached full expansion and ring seal is optimum.
