TomsCoupe
Is it possible? Here is my situation. I have custody of my nephew, and i have a doberman pinscher. I dont want to scrap the whole 240 idea, but if i cant get some rear seats in my 240 then i will have no choice. Anyone ever done this? i searched but nothing came up. datsunlover
I've seen a 240 with a custom back seat in it... Not very big, but depending on the size of the kid and or dog, it could work.. The one I saw was a little 'hack' but with some effort could have been really cool. Looked like the little 'pockets' behind the seat had been taken out, a custom frame built (looked to be wood.. ) and then upolstred with some kind of faux leather(not well done.. this is what I mean by hack). Kind of resembled a pickup truck bench seat, just smaller. The guy had done it for the same reason; He had his 6 year old daughter in his care 3-4 days a week, the Z was his only car. He called it his 'mini rumble seat'...
TomsCoupe
Alright cool. Im going to see what i can do. I think ill get it done professionally because i want it to be safe. Ive wanted my z to be completed for like 4 years now. Its time to get this thing on the road again.
Synlubes
I removed the cargo boxes behind the seats in my Z (non-2+2).(you can see a pic on my website / Z car page) Theres not much room back there for even some/a small seat. Safety belts would be an issue. But I not going to say it can`t be done.
zguy95135
There was a local shop that used to make a fiberglass seat you could put in once the bins were cut out, but that was a while ago.
