While the Grainger one ends up being a nice little piece, small and discreet, I have seen other 'homebrew' ball valve types that were much larger and uglier, but still got the job done. he's expecting way too much for it though... grainger valve can be put together for $10-15 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is just an adjustable leak. yep... and some guys sell 'adjustable leaks' (a.k.a. bleed valve style boost controllers) for as high as $150.
