Guest Anonymous
The wife today announced that she now wants a project car!!! Gotta love that, a free pass to buy another fun vehicle. The only problem is she either wants a 69 datsun roadster or 72 chevy shortbox pickup. I just cant decide! Either way I cant wait to start a new project! Do you guys think a L28turbo could be stuffed into the roadster? That will probably be the deciding factor.

280Zen
LOL, My wife has a project car as well. A 1984 camaro. It used to be automatic, but she has sold the engine and tranny and just the other day picked up a old 010 4 bolt main nickle block that, after the heads were removed we found out it is punched 30 over! With the crankshaft and cam she has picked out this should be pretty nice! If the frame can handle it. So in a few months if you live in central Florida and see a purple 84 camaro with gray stripes! watch out! Blond at the wheel! The guy she has rebuilding it with her is very knowledable and has said this should push about 450hp when they are done! At least she is paying for this project with her play money! Mikelly
My wife sort of has a project... 95 Mustang 5.0 that I'm determined to make run better... Already has a bunch of bolt ons and in the spring we'll put the aluminum heads and a cam in it. Mike
Guest SuperDave
I'd be a little hesitant about cutting into a roadster, myself. They've got to be getting rare by now, considering the production figures (~2500 1600's, ~5900 2000's) from 1969. Conversely, I don't think we'll ever run out of Chevy pickups. At least, I hope not. Mike C
Probably have trucks for awhile, but a clean 72 short fleet, especially a Super, is worth more than a roadster ironically. Guy down the street had 3 roadster he sold before moving. Could of had one for $1000 with Panasports on it and no motor. Tried to talk my buddy with the extra Typhoon motor into buying it. But he chickened out.
