EvilRufusKay
I recently used a similar product by Duplicolor on a leather jacket. The jacket was originally bright yellow....ewwww... but now is black. It holds up very well with minimal wear. If used on a dash or door panel I could see it lasting forever. DaleMX
I used some of their stuff last year on my arm rests. I noticed last week that it was wearing off in places.
Gollum
I know a thing or two about leather work, and you CAN'T dye leather a brighter color, just in case anyone out there was gonna spray thier black jacket yellow Leathers only like to darken. If there's a product that actually lightens, then it's a new layer all together and it may as well be fake leather then.
2003z
a previous owner at some point dyed my butterscotch interior a different shade of tan. Do you think I could redye it again, this time black or gray?
Gollum
Is it leather? I'll assume so considering the thred. Black is ALWAYS doable for leather. The gray might end up looking slightly colored. Got pics?
2003z
I was referring to the vinyl interior of our cars.
MusPuppis
I've used Duplicolor and VHT before and liked them both. I did a CRX interior for a friend that turned out great.. I wish I could find pics. If you've seen their interior before the top of the door panels and the top of the dash are kinda sectioned off, they make a flowing line through the interior. We sprayed it all red (forget the exact shade) to match the cars paint. Used VHT on that one.. It looked really good. I used Duplicolor on my truck though. Was less expensive and more readily available. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/752497. You can see the before and after of the door panels and dash. Good stuff. I'm interested in this SEM stuff. When I go to put the Z back together suprisingly a few of the interior parts are salvagable, but they'll need some "pepping up".
2003z
I'm more concerned with coating an interior that has already been coated. In 1995 I used SEM products to turn my last 240z's interior from black to tan, and it held up pretty good for the 4 years that I owned it afterwards, just a few small areas where the black showed through.
