toecutter
Just got my ZG flares back from the paint shop. Had a few issues getting my old wheels off the car! I could'nt beleive the nuts are so tight, I bruised 2 of them trying. I'll ahve to try again with some better tools tommorrow. In the mean time I tried putting them on a freeinds car just to take a few pics! Check it out. By the way I weighed these wheels with tyres on them. The 9.5" with a 255x40 tyre weighed 18.9kg. Hmmm...this is my second edit on this reply trying to get pics up!? I've added a link to pics. If one of you fellas could paste those pics here I'd appreciate it, not sure whats happening on my side!!??? http://www.viczcar.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?p=1417#1417 Cheers Sulio
mark
Sweet wheels. You could make a few dollars reselling those to guys in the US. Very nice looking wheel.
Guest grimlynsan
did you choose the 'shadow chrome' option or the other one, or a combination of the two?
Jersey
Very nice.
toecutter
These are not shadow chrome. They are the silver option. hmmm...sales to the US sound like a lot of work and organising involved. What would ROH quote you on these wheels if you bought them through a distributor!? VinhZXT
can we get these wheels in the US? For that price I would get them in a heart beat. I've been looking at these wheels for a long time but they are too pricey $3500/set. http://www.dougrippie.com/drm/fikse_wheel.htm
toecutter
$3500!!!! Wow Thats crazy. hmmm...maybe we could organise something. Anybody got a contact for freight, like a person that might recieve occasional goods from Australia to the US!? Anyway got the wheels on my car and stuck the flares on. Bolting them on this weekend or before if i get a chance. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=153430#post153430 Once again had no luck getting these pics up!!!aaarrrrggh but check out the link. RaysirX
Hey toecutter, what are offsets for these wheels (front and back).
RaysirX
DUH, I should have read the first post more carefully!
VinhZXT
Mikelly, I contacted Fikse before and they quoted me around $3200. So DRM marks up 300 more. But I do like those wheels. Sulio looks like you can put wider tires on the back.
toecutter
Wider tyres? Nah I like that strecthed look for now.
Metro
I got my wheels last year through a MKII supra group buy which was setup by a distributor over here. These are cast so it might be a little different, but they wanted 20 or 25 sets minimum to make and ship them to the US. They screwed up the specs and took forever to get them shipped, but for the price, I couldn't complain too much.
toecutter
Bolted on now. gfc
looks great. just out of interest, what sort of fasteners did you use to secure those flares?
toecutter
I used screws I found at my local fastener store. Zinc plated 12gram x 20mm pan head self tapping screws with a suitable small washer. $10 for a bag of 100!
zedevan
i figured it made the most sense to post these pictures here, same wheels, same size, just with black centres i waited over 150 days for them! so the thread name really applies!
