cobraz240z
Ok im confused! I just got a n47 maxima head for my L24, I was told I need to notch the cylender so the valves don't hit. Correct me if im wrong the N47 maxima is a 2.4 and my 1971 240z is a 2.4 same I bore I would think. I would thinks it would clear the cylenders. Im using a schieder cam part#17034 107 lobe center 460 lift 280 exhoust duration 232 intake duration. The head has the stock valves.
Nismo280zEd
I think that setup is more commonly run on 280s to increase the compression. -Ed
1 fast z
Valve springs are the SAME as the L28's. I measured them on my valve spring tester.
AK-Z
Not sure but isn't the angle of the valves different as well?
1 fast z
Yea, they are not the same Cam specs, but the springs are, even though they are a 42mm intake instead of the 44, L28 series. The angles are the same, as the L28's in all aspects, Seat angle and angle realtion to the head.

cobraz240z
ok I don't have to do anything to the piston do I?
madkaw
You don't have to do anything to the pistons. You just don't want to notch far enough down that the top ring would reach it. When I get my block back I will try to measure somehow to give you an idea how much.
