The car seems to be running well, I just need to get consistent on my driving. I was having a tough time hitting the shift light and I have not launched it hard yet.

It was a good day... great weather, good times and no broken parts :-)

The first link didn't work, but I watched the second one. Very cool...it looked like the Mustang got a quicker start and then you blew right by him.

You might have posted it before, but could you remind me of your upgrades. Is your transmission stock? Have you had your setup dyno'ed?

Oops, I see your dyno numbers in your signature...what upgrades have you done?

Are the times you posted all motor runs or nitrous runs? What parts are you using in the 383 LT1? Parts, meaning cam type and heads etc.?

Very nice runs by the way!

My dyno results are in my sig.

The motor is a 385 stroker (.040 over)

Lunati forged crank

Lunati 6" pro-mod rods

Ross pistons

10.4 compression

Ported stock heads

Comp pro mag 1.6 RR

Crane (GM-847) cam

Long tube headers

BBK 58mm TB

Stock M6 tranny

R230

ET Drag slicks 26x10 15"

The car weighs 3110 lbs without me in it. This is the first time I had the car on the nitrous. I don't have a purge, so you may notice I am purging into the motor during the burnout.

The run with the Mustang, he had a RT of .056 and I was at .180, that's why he got out ahead of me. He was done before the 60' even with my lousy RT

re-post of the first run link

wow that thing is heavy

im hopin for 10s with a 125 shot on my 355 lt1' date=' still stock heads though but its a 71 240, so im hoping for a dry weight of 2500lb[/quote']

My 72 weighed in at 2540 with stock LS1, T56, A/C, Stock brakes, R180 Diff, Subframe connectors, strut tower bars, full stock interior, stereo, Konig 14" wheels, etc.

Now I have installed the Q45 R200, MMS 13" big brakes front and rear, 16" panasports, and one bulk pack of Dynamax Extreme.

I am guessing it will weigh 2700 pounds!

usualy the aftermarket brakes are lighter my azc 12.2 2 piece rotor willwoof 4 pot caliper setup is about 25lb lighter per pair then my stock front setup

i am aiming at 2500lb with my lt1, i have no accesories, no ac, no subframes yet, no strut bars, no stereo, no speakers and some other minor pieces, like my steering wheel which is so much lighter than stock, flywheel, etc

i figure a 2500lb z with a cammed 355ci lt1 will be very fun

i do know that the q45 diff added some weight though
