mentallylost
A door-to-door Holy Roller approached me today while I was working on my 83 280zx in the garage and asked if it was a Mustang that I was working on. Talk about an insult! Now I realize that not everyone knows what a Datsun is, let alone 280zx. But this guy had to be in his late 40's and should know kind of what a Mustang looks like. My first thought wasn't to laugh it was really kind disgust. The laugh didn't come ‘til later as I reflected on it. After he insulted my car like that, I sure was in no mood to discuss religion. 280zwitha383
Haha, it might not be a secret that I don't care for Fords but I don't think I've ever actually come out and said it on here. Anyhow, a few years ago I bought a '89 Pontiac LeMans (similar to a Metro) as a project because it would run for a second and then die. So I got it running (it had a hole in the line going from the fuel pump to the outlet that was sticky so it would hold pressure for about 5 seconds and then the hole would open up) and sold it to my friend who also doesn't like Fords. To this day when my granddad sees my friend he always asks him if he still has that Ford that I sold him, and me and my friend cringe everytime. Cal Poly Zmanaustin
After he insulted my car like that, I sure was in no mood to discuss religion.[/font'][/color] Sounds like another lost bible sale story. Thanks for telling. I had something funny happen today. My buddy has a 70' 240Z that looks like someone smacked it with a baseball bat on every panel. Paint is uniform, but the whole car will need to be redone for all the dings. No lie. He is an all original fanatic, I mean a 5sp transmission is sacraligious in his book. So back to the story...I came by to give him a ride in my primer 70' 240Z with hopped up 2.8L with worked N42 head, triple 40DCOES, header, exhaust, MSD ignition...the works. I snapped his head back on the ride and he was impressed with the power. After he said,"that ought to be worth $300.. for the whole car". You thought you were insulted today? Perhaps thats how the baseball bat dings got started in the first place?

Lewis Maudlin
I had two punks call my car a pinto. im not sure whether or not they were joking... but i had my breaker bar in hand just in case... The answer to that is, "Yep, wanna race". The question I get most often from ricers that have just had their doors blown off is, "What is that? It's fast"

AK-Z
Haha. My mom was talking to one of here customers about my 280z a while back. She convinced her to give me a parts car, Unfortunately my mom thought my car was a mastang also. So I ended up having a 64 mustang in the yard that was more than half dead. I ended up selling it for $5000 and all of it went to tuition haha. My response to pintos. They can be made fast. I saw a 9 sec all motor pinto a while back. haha talk about sleeper.
