Guest l28et
Nicely done. Looks very clean. The hood is awesome and I love the FMIC. Throw some nice wheels and take off that side molding and you're set.

CruxGNZ
Did you push/pull that engine and cherry picker up the driveway?

proxlamus©
yeh pushing the cherry picker up the driveway was hell.. wouldnt even go up the curb.. so i pushed it up the street and on the handicap sidewalk ramp.. and stuff.. what sucks is I did EVERYTHING myself.. no help from anyone.. good ol 135 pound 19 yr old .. hahaha how sad
DavyZ
I can relate: I did a Volvo 6 cyl diesel swap when I was in my early 20's. Getting no help was a bit hard, but I trudged through it! I'm blown away that the city allowed you to work on the car in the street. Most cities have an ordinance that prevent people from doing that and they make sure to enforce it by sending over the police Good work!! sims76
Pat yourself on the back Prox, awesome job. Please describe the performance difference. Please please.....
mobythevan
I knew you were crazy already. Good job on the swap.
proxlamus©
well performance is definatly different.. I was used to a small T3 and a 8.3:1 compression ratio.. full boost at like 2,200 RPM in 5th gear.. now I have a turbo which in my opinion is too big.. and 7.3:1 CR... full boost at like 3,500 RPM in 4th gear I do miss my old motor.. it was peppy and snappy.. but this new one.. when the boost hits.. it effn hits! Overall I am happy... still have ALOT of work to do.. but hell.. it's a daily driven, air conditioned road car.. what more can I ask for? olie05
congrats on the swap! More power is the way to go anyways. I would never get away with pulling the engine in the street, but I would NEVER try it in your driveway... that thing is steep.
OlderThanMe
yep...just put my suspension back in by myself...not fun. I need to redo all of the gaskets on my motor as well...
Guest 73Turbo240z
how many PSI are you pushing now? play with your tune and your actuator taughtness, you can get that spool down to 3000-3100 with a little tweaking.
proxlamus©
well the actuator is mounted so the w/g puck is slammed shut.. and is very taught.. i do need to work on tuning.. but ehh.. spools way too slowly for me
dsommer
By yourself!!! Way to go!!!! There is no way in h-e double toothpicks I would or could get away with pulling an engine in the street in my hood'.
Pop N Wood
Git r done, boy. Don't suppose the parents were too supportive either. Looking at the wiring mess in that empty engine bay makes me sooo glad I have a 240.
