Hey fellas, as you guys know i'm getting a r33 rb26dett. I'm in the process of looking for parts..particularly n1 oil pump and n1 water pump. I found the idler tension pulley and spring at www.tophatperformance.com for $150. Not a bad price. But do you guys know a place to get the n1 oil and n1 water pump for cheap? Let me know!

Thanks.

Racinjitter found this place a few days ago.

http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=109458&page=2 post #26

After going to the link http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=756

My stomach kind of turned. Markup on RB parts are incredible! Notice how much a tensioner and idler go for?

Comes down to supply and demand. But I still hate having the "Buyers Blues"

Well folks I have some good news for you! I've been trying to find n1 waterpump, n1 oilpump, new OEM tensioner pulley, idler pulley, and tensioner spring for my Rb26. I had a friend that could get me one but he ran out of stock so after some HARDCORE searching I found some sites that offer these parts for cheap! So these parts will help us RB guys without getting ripped off by these damn marked prices on ebay..etc.

www.mynismo.com has a sale going on for n1 water pump $130! I just received mine today and I paid a total of $140 shipped. Shipping took like 3 days! Excellent service.

http://forums2.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=153947 here is the forum where i found the August only sale for the n1 waterpump so you better hurry!

http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=756

Searched and i found nismoparts.com to have the cheapest price for the rb26/rb25 idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and cheap n1 oil pump!

N1 oil pump for only $197! Idler and tensioner pulley for only $30 each! Now I have received my parts order confirmation from them through the email. They haven't sent these items yet as they are shipping it from their warehouse. So i'll post back once i receive them. You guys don't have to thank me

Now the only thing I'm in need of is the tensioner spring. Does anyone know where I can locate one?

I may have done a dumb thing. If you go to http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=756 and look at their tensioner, I chose the rb26dett version which costs like $50 while their rb20/rb25 is like $29 something. I should of just purchased the rb25 one as it's the same as the rb26...i think. Could of saved myself $20 bucks oh well =

  • 1 month later...

They don't typically deal motorsets... that's why thier prices may seem a bit high. I can tell you, thought, that they do go through and check out all the motors that come through the shop. They are pretty RB savvy, too... since that's most all they deal with (car-wise... I don't count thier wheel business).

Not knocking anyone looking for a savings (Hell... I'm always looking!), but I do find it quite humorous when individuals ask where they can find RB26 parts on the cheap. The words 'RB26' and 'cheap' should never be included in a sentence unless that sentence also contains the words 'are not'.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not directing the previouse statement to anyone in particular. Hotimport's post just reminded me of a number of conversations I have had with random individuals... individuals who want to put an RB26 into thier car on a $3000 budget

Oh yeah i defenatlly agree with you on that. Nothing is cheap when it comes down to the RB26 in specially. But i mean as far as dealing with people at RB Mototring that deal with RB's on daily basis they charge alot of money for parts that flow around the net for far less expensive what they offer them for. No negative feedback for the RB Motoring just simplly if you got the $$$$ go ahead with Rb motoring because there simply the best at what they do and what they offer under one roof.
