260DET
Any difference in strength between the open and VLSD diff stub axles? The VLSD I have has the six bolt CV type stubs. The VLSD stubs are longer? As there is a Quaife going in and they are different for the VLSD, I'd like to use whichever stubs are the strongest and get the appropriate Quaife. 2126
Just for clearification....stub axles are the short axle assemblies in your rear strut assemblies. I believe you are talking about your half shafts or drive axles.
JMortensen
I believe the VLSD has a higher spline count. It does in the longnose R200.
260DET
The short splined axles that fit into each side of the diff is what I'm on about.

260DET
Thanks Jon, so you think the VLSD 'axles' may be stronger? One is longer than the other I think.
JMortensen
Yup. I think they are a larger diameter with more splines on the longnose R200.
