jakeshoe
It's not necessary.
Twoeightnine
Of course its alway kewl to have all the goodies but personally Id rather grab my own gears when "I" decide. Kick downs are for girls!!
dr_hunt
I cut the cable off at the plastic trans end, attach it and silicone it up so it doesn't leak.
a6t8vw
so if i dont want to use it i just need to sleal it so it doesnt leak and does it need to be in the out posistion or in?
a6t8vw
ill try what dr hunt said and cut off the end of a junk yard cable and seal it... so im assumeing the actuator is in the lower posistion right?
jnjdragracing
Yes, I think all I did was just plug it up with some silicone. You do not need it. John
Lason
Without it the tranny wont be able to kickdown gears by itself but you dont NEED it. I guess it depends on what you plan on doing with the car. Personally if it is going to spend most of the time on the street I would like to have that kickdown. dr_hunt
Yup, in the down position. Someone said, kickdowns are for girls! And I always wondered why they had that when they had a shifter anyway.
jakeshoe
I plug the holes with a small expansion plug when I build a racing unit with a full manual valve body. I have also threaded the hole and used an 1/8th" pipe plug. You would have to drop the pan and remove the linkage to plug the hole as I do though. Dave
http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/pts/210907189.html That switch is for the TH400 that is made for a electric kickdown switch. The TH350 has a cable.
