240zV8
Last night coming home from a movie we pulled up to a stoplight and a 240sx pulled along side, and i looked over real quick and thought the driver was leaned back in the seat or somthing, but there wasn't a driver...lol... it was the first right hand drive car i've seen driving around, and it was a tricked out 240sx. Just thought i'd share that and see if any of yall have seen one like that? I didn't know it was legal other than mail delivery cars to be right hand drive here. I would have tested his car alittle, but i was in my 3/4 ton pickup, not my friends turbo s30...lol
Garrett76Zt
Its certainly a pretty popular car to import from Japan, RHD. I got the privelage of driving a '95 Mitsu Lancer Evo III on friday night. RHD, Turbo, AWD. VERY fun car. I'd love to have one for a daily . . . 240zV8
I was just suprised because i've never seen a rhd car driving around other than the mail trucks, i didn't think it was legal
ULISES
It was prob. a Silvia imported from Japan,One of my friends has one for sale. Its not legal in the US though. My coisin had a Toyota mini truck back in 96 or 97 with the steering wheel on the right hand side, custom made. He got pulled over and the passenger almost got the ticket....This was really funny,I think he got a fixing ticket and had to turn it back to stock location. greenmonster80
There is nothing illegal or wrong with a RHD car. I got asked that all the time when I drove my car. Now there may be some backward ass state that will hassle you. I registered mine in AL and that is about as good ole boy country as you can get... skillet
there are a few RHD conversions here in AZ. people get silvia/180sx clips for the engines. many of them are dashboard-forward and contain everything you need for the swap. greenmonster80
If I could get my hands on a nice 240sx I would definitely swap it over to RHD. I like it more than LHD. But I am more than a little bias. I have had at least 1 RHD car in the garage since 1997..
Globerunner513
hey, I live in bellingham too!! havn't seen that around, but i do know there's a fairly tricked out silvia (kinda ricey) running around. Don't know if it's RHD. I'll ask around and see if anyone knows about it. That would be a pretty cool thing to see.
