EMWHYR0HEN
I'm past due for another track day, so I'm attending a speedtrials event at the streets of willow springs. I really dont want to ruin my street tires (my only tires) and plus i'd lke to see how the Z handles with some road race slicks. Anyone have any sugestions where to look, I cant even find any on ebay! (roadrace slicks, no drag) Im looking for some used ones, just a one time thing and toss em. Thanks in advance
Clifton
This place used to have alot of used slicks. I didn't see any listed though.
Jeff
Check out John Berget Racing Tires here. They specialize in used race rubber but it's always luck of the draw as to what they have in stock. A buddy just picked up a used set of Dunlop's from them and he let me co-drive last month. I've driven on DOT R compounds for years but this was my first time on true road race slicks and all I have to say is wow. I hope they have your size and go have some fun. EMWHYR0HEN
Unfourtunaltly I found out they stopped making roadrace slicks in 14'' back in 1988. So I'd have to go with a DOT R tire or find some 13'' or 15'' wheels. Just my luck. anyone have any sugestions with DOT R compound tires? JMortensen
Why don't you go with used slicks in a 15"? There are a TON of slicks in 15" size. You can get a set of diamond racing wheels and a set of used slicks for about the cost of the DOT's.
