spotfitz
maybe it's the french anthem or something, being renault... but wow. that sounds like funs! I hope you were being sarcastic. "From every mountain top, let freedom ring", sound familiar?
HS30-H
"From every mountain top, let freedom ring", sound familiar? LOL Maybe you heard 'My Country, 'tis Of Thee', but the Renault engineers were playing 'God Save The Queen' and 'The Marseillaise'. The Renault F1 team is a 'French' team based in the UK ( formed out of the old Benetton team in fact ). The two tunes reflect those facts. I'd have thought a Canadian might have recognised one or both of them? Maybe not.

I had 4 different people listen to it at work and all of them said the same thing, especially at the very end. I only noticed acouple notes that seemed "wrong", but just thought it was to much of an rpm change in such a short span to make it sound right. Lots of similarities. This has me curious about something now.
mason4300
there's another video of that, recorded by another person; I think the sounds better in it, and you don't have to sit and wait for it to start as long...you can find it on YouTube

getoffmyinternet
It was a little taste of good old fashioned American spite, wasn't it?
