Cruez
This sux... Why is everything made so cheaply and not made to last ?? What happened to those days?.. you spend a decent amount of money for something and it still sux... I bought an 80 gallon compressor made by Campbell Hausfeld and had it for a little over a year.. it has (had) a 100% duty cycle... Tonight it took a $hit on me.. The pressure switch gave up the goat.. part of it melted.. Also, I have noticed when draining the water, there seems to be more oil in there here recently mixed in with it.. I have already topped the oil off a couple of times since I bought it.. I have a job that I am supposed to finish up this evening that is not going to happen now.. I need to sell this piece of crap and get a decent one.... very soon, my entire business revolves around it.. /rant mode off...

Is the compressor made here or there? Just wondering. Davy
Gollum
Gibson guitar = USA made high non-specialty models go for around $3-4k. Epiphone guitar = Same company as gibson but made overseas. Top models similar to gibson top models sell between $600-800... 10 years ago overseas guitars were mostly crap save a few companies. Recently much of the overseas stuff competes and gives the USA made stuff a run for it's money. I think it just takes all these newer factories to REALLY work out all the quality kinks. I think they really do want to sell a good product, but their CEOs are SO bent on cost that they can't do the research on how to make the product better for similar costs. naviathan
Campbell Hausfeld is garbage. I have one of their air ratchets and so far I've had to completely dissaseble it twice and oil it because it was getting slow and locking up. I just can't afford to get a nice one right now. I say keep the tank, get rid of the compressor and buy another one (better one) and plumb the two together for more capacity.
Cruez
I believe I'll be getting one from Eaton.. which 2003z seems to be fond of... nice looking units http://www.eatoncompressor.com/page/page/504747.htm .. I need something that will keep up pretty close with my blast cabinet...21 CFM @ 90 psi Well, it seems that Crapbell Haushit won't cover it under warranty... even though its has a 3 yr VERY LIMITED warranty.. they don't even cover the rings in the pump... anything that is considered a "wear" item is not covered... what a crock... I have a new pressure switch coming and as soon as the new compressor gets here... this one will be up for sale... anyone wanna buy it At least I got my customers stuff that needed to go back to Cali finished up..
