I have a quick question, I went to the local performance shop to buy some steel braided fuel hose for the line going from the fuel pressure regulator to the carb. The guy I usually deal with is out on vacation, so this other salesman tried to sell me this other product that is just as good as the steel braided version. Which consist of a nylon braided hose, that suppose to be the same as steel braided only that it doesn't attract as much heat, and it's track legal. V8_DatZun Posted December 29, 2006 Share Posted December 29, 2006 nice.. so does it reflect enough heat that you dont have to worry about vapor lock, also if it gets too hot could it melt? that would be pretty bad... i mean i know rubber hose can melt also.. but just asking. That's why i was trying to see if any of you guys had heard about this material being used on cars in the race track, if so, then that way i can put it on my car and have something different than the common used steel braided hose. Mayolives Posted December 31, 2006 Share Posted December 31, 2006 I'm using it on my track car fuel system with AN style fittings. From the tank to the pump to the fpr and to the injectors.
