deja
The stock Z28 Lt1 cable will hook up to the 280Z accelerator pedal fine but its too long. Did you get a different cable like Lockar or just add a new crimp thing to the LT1 cable?
mark
I used the lockar cable
jbc3
I took the F-body gas pedal and cut the cable end off and welded it to the stock 280Z pedal. Then I used the stock f-body cable. It bows up slightly, but fits just fine. Jody
dat240zg
I'm like Mark. I got the Lokar cable that came with the JCI kit. Fit pretty good. Bryan
wheelman
I used the stock 240Z bell crank thats mounted to the firewall and connected the stock LT1 cable to it. Wheelman
Bartman
I used the stock cable and modified the end to connect to my 240Z accelerator pedal. I did have to modify the length and I wound up connecting it using bicycle brake parts (the throttle cable is similar to a bicycle brake cable). Wheelman Unfortunatley, my car does not have that stock bell crank thing.
deja
Interesting, I'll take a look at that. I took the F-body gas pedal and cut the cable end off and welded it to the stock 280Z pedal. deja
This might be the easiest way. I just picked up some of those cable clamp things. I need to make a adapter plate for the firewall, the hole is too big for the Z28 grommet. I'll give it a test tonight.
