ASA240Z
Hey guys, I'm installing the tokico blues/springs on my rear suspension. While I'm at it i was going to change the bushings. I was looking on MSA's website today add I noticed that they sell "Urethane Bump Stops" http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC06E/23-4196 Where exactely do these go on the suspension of the car, between the insulator and spring seat? And are these in the energy suspension master kit? pictures would be nice =) Thanks Allen
MrFancypants
Slip them over the shock rod before you bolt it into the top hat. It protects the shock from bottoming out. - Greg -

burntread
Does the coned end face up or down? I'm about to install mine and it seems like the flat end on the bump stop should sit flush with the flat end of the strut. Please set us straight. -Burntread
280Zone
The picture shows them upside down compared to how I installed mine.
Savage42
I installed mine the same way as in the picture, but since I'm not at stock height, I cut mine in half for suspension travel. It really shouldn't make a difference on how it's installed, as it'll sit at the top end of the strut and will cushion the same way no matter facing up or down. Con Brio
Install them with the cone side down (facing the strut).
katman
Theoretically it doesn't matter which is up, but cone side down has better karma.
speedgato
Yeah, mine went in cone down for the same reason, just seemed right.
burntread
Well, karma seems like a good enough reason for which direction. Thanks!
CruxGNZ
Not only Karma, but installed like in the picture, I used two very short screws to anchor the bump stops to the spring hat. Then they stay in place and don't bounce around on the cart. rod. Some people have that problem... ---------------- Now playing: Kasabian - [Empire #07] By My Side [foobar2000 v0.9.4.1] via FoxyTunes
Challenger
So regarding cutting them, just carefully cut them in half? The tokico instructions say no more than half. Assuming youd want as much travel as possible you want to cut it at half, correct? Thanks
EMWHYR0HEN
I cut mine in thirds to gain a little more travel but, I started at half.
WizardBlack
Ditto. I did a third off the narrow end.
