82Beach Turbo
I have just got done rebuilding my front end suspension and upgrading my front brakes...I bought speed bleeders because this is a one man project...Question is..do these relpace the original fittings. 2003z
yes, they replace the original bleed screws, but you will still need someone to watch to make sure all the air bubbles are out of the lines. There is no way to pump the brakes and watch the fluid leave by yourself. the speedbleeders just have a one way check valve in them that prohibits air from entering the system through the bleeders. 82Beach Turbo
That sounds right to me also but what stops the brake fluid from continuing to pump out of the bleeder valve once the air pockets are gone??
naviathan
Tightening them. The bleeders have no idea when the air is gone. When they're loose they allow pressure to relieve in the lines without allowing air to come back in. When you tighten them down they stop allowing the pressure out. 82Beach Turbo
that would explain why one bleeder keeps pumping fluid and the other is not....and why I dont have brakes..... Thanks for the help guys......
82Beach Turbo
must be doing something wrong...I have screwed the bleeder valve in as far as it will go still not stopping the fluid from coming out, has anybody had this problem or am I doing something wrong?? 2003z
although it would be odd if only one is leaking, possibly the seat angle of the bleeder is different from that of the caliper. I would just go back to your stock bleeders if it was me.

Cable
Digging up an old thread... What size are the stock bleeders on S30's front and rear?
