My Z got first place!!

Well kinda... For my photography class we had to take 5 digital images of "something that we love" and alter the photos to make them look like old film photographs. The only thing I love more than my family and friends is well... my Z. So I took these images, edited them and turned them in. Today was our final and we were going to critque everyones photos and vote on who did the best. After two hours of waiting, our instructor told us who won. It was me and my Z!!!

So here are the photos... they aren't the best ( I could have done better) but it worked out for me.

enjoy and CC is welcome

I'm glad you guys like em...

ckelly78z- I'm actually going to try and find a place that will make a life size print for a reasonable price.. it would make a great garage poster.

Lunar240z- thanks.. I kinda love em too.

BRAAP- Thanks...yeah I have some photos in that thread already but when I finish editing some of the others I'll post them up in there.

Justin- I'll be waiting for you to finish that monster so we can set up a day to shoot.

How did you set up that last shot?

Well In order to take a photo like that there is multiple ways but the way I did it was using a rig...kinda.

In the automotive photo biz, rig setups are a big hush hush so it was hard for me to find any info on it. No one would share photos of their set up as they are affraid of "losing their jobs"... I would rather help others with their photography rather than keep them in the dark so here is how i did it...

I basicly clamped an old tripod to one of the rear tow hitches and then tied a rope around the tripod neck and the wiper arm for stabilization

After that since it was the middle of the day and i needed a slow shutterspeed, I just set the camera to its lowest ISO (100)and put the smallest f-stop possible (f22) then I used a one second shutter speed. I put down the e-brake and a friend of mine pushed the car while i fired away with a remote. The photos came out way overexposed but with some PP that was fixed right away.

If you have any other questions, go ahead and PM me and I'll be more than happy to try to help anyone out.
