Ebayer question

Yeah thanks but I was wondering if anyone knew about his head-building skills. You know, does he use a hammer and file like me or does he use a machine shop with knowledge, does he measure valve stems or does he just throw them back in.... :) I was looking more for a personal reference than feedback from ebay. Thanks anyway.

I would look elsewhere if I were you.

When he was 'ur-gellis' I ordered a K&N air filter for a 260 and got a square filter. Only with REPEATED threats to report him, and that his 'ethics' were lacking did I get a refund LONG after I returned the part.

Thanks, A local machine shop with Z experience might be the better route at that price. At least I would have recourse should there be problems with the quality. Thanks Mike. This winter, I guess the head comes off and goes to a machinist, and I will rebuild the bottom end with some forged pistons myself to save some dough.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am going to bookmark his store for the future purchase of less risky items. Although it's an excellent deal, I just dont feel comfortable with such an important piece coming from that far away, with little or no recourse should there be a minor problem.

Interesting... I was looking at the same eBay listing and came on here for advice. Cali is a long way from CT and I would prefer a local shop with Z experience, but the eBay listing is still a temping offer. I was looking into buying parts but that might turn out to be just as expensive. Can anyone recommend a shop within 100 miles? I'll drive if it's worth it.

Alissa- just went to your project page. Impressive work! That's a seriously ambitious project and I wish you all the best. Your welds look great! Are you going to paint it yourself? I think you should!

There are a couple of Zers in CT, Phil280zxt comes to mind. And plenty of us just over the border... Cygnusx1, EvilC...
