ok, i have a z31 turbo oil pan that suffered me doing 8k RPM with 6 pounds of oil pressure (motor had a knock to begin with) and so i chunkified a few pistons and rods and ended up with a bunch small metal shavings in the bottom of the pan. now would it be ok to hose out/pressure wash the oil pan to remove all of those little chucks? or do i need to spend a couple hours cleaning it out by hand?

Dude when we rebuild a motor the pan (as long it's not aluminum) goes straight into the hot tank and it sits their for a day soaking in alkali and then gets pressured washed so you aren't going to hurt it by pressure washing it spray it with some brake clean after you wash it out to help displace the water and make it dry faster.
