Miles
Would 180 lb/in. front and 200lb/in. rear spring rates be too stiff for a street 72 240Z V8? Arizona Z sells these springs for $89 per pair. I'd like to hear from anyone running close to 180 front and 200 rear spring rates in a V8 Z. Hows the ride? This is very subjective, but on a bone jarring scale of 1-10 (1-soft to 10-skate board) what is your ride like? Thanks Miles
blueovalz
I had 200's all the way around for a while, and on your subjective scale, I'd them a 6. The dampening will be a big determiner in how it feels, but I was surprised at how well the 200's worked. As far a the street is concerned, your 180's on the front should be even better. z ya
I am running 200 rears and I would rate the ride a 5 or 6. I little stiff but I like them.
Guest scca
i generally suggest 175-200 f/r for a L6 and 200-225 for a v8. and most with v8 go to 250 on rear If you have a lot ofHP to stop the squat. your almost half way to coilover kit so think about that first.. $400 includes shipping
CruxGNZ
Miles, Check out this thread that I posted a little while back. It helped me decide what pring rate to run. !M!
