MrFancypants
"Irregardless..." What?!? You know the shitty part.. they just added that damn word to the Webster's or something.. just goes to show if enough people use a word and know what it means, even if it's completely stupid and irrational, it becomes an official "word". Here's another one - I love it when people say "I need to dethaw that ". I always say "Okay let's freeze it!". - Greg -
Administrators BRAAP Posted September 13, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2007 "Irregardless..." What?!? Davy I’m Guilty of using this one here on a few occasions, DOH! I am trying not to use it anymore so if you see me using it again, call me on it. Just as MrFancypants stated, I’ve heard it thrown about SO often that it took root and even sounds normal, irregardless of my edumacational background, Here are a couple. When people talk about the “HOT water heater” in their home?!?!? Since when do we need to heat already HOT water? It’s a "water heater"… One that gets my panties all wadded up is “Freeze plug!”
buZy
"10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag." Here is a stupid one, used WAY too much these days. "whatever" Is that even a word?

zdmz
How about - "take your time getting there, but hurry back". And, instead of telling people "don't do anything that I wouldn't do" I say "don't do anything I want to do".

Is "pisser" a real word I wonder? Questions... Questions... Davy

KG78Z
My friend dad had a different saying, "He who hesitates gets peeled". I guess he meant he who hesitates is lost but?

jdarkme
"The King is dead. Long live the King"..... that doesn't make sense to me. Isn't it just that the old king died and now there is a new king. I like the phrase, but in the Megadeth song "Kill the King"
