Guest 280ZForce
looks good Phil... but I'm seriously missing your big driving/fog lights up front, that was your signature look.

OlderThanMe
Somewhere a guy in the UK showed how he cut his 240 bumper up and made one of those rally bumpers out of it for his rally replica. I think he is on zclub.net... I'll find a link. *edit* pics... I'd like to see something like this on Big-Phil's Z!
olie05
Funny... I recently took OFF my tint. It was cheap, done about 3 years ago, and it was starting to turn purple. BTW I live in Houston and drive my car everyday with no A/C!
m4xwellmurd3r
My first car was an old 62 vw ragtop. No ac but man did having that ragtop and vent windows feel nice! my dad's 66 impala was the same deal, no ac, but feels nice when those vents are open ^^ I'm used to having no a/c, so whenever i can buy a z, if the a/c works, i'll keep it in, but if it stops working, it's gettin pulled lol. veritech-z
My AC weighed a TON! I think the compressor bracket weighed as much as the compressor...it was the first thing to go.

If it weighs that much, I think i'd rather dump the ac if it even falters for a second. I'd rather free up some hp rather then spend money to loose it. veritech-z
You can "free up the hp" by just taking off the belt. Removing the system is "adding light-ness" in the words of Colin Chapman.

big-phil
it is very heavy, but I got to have my A/C, I'll just turn the boost up more?
m4xwellmurd3r
Well, I talked to the owner of the car I want, and I talked to him a good hour. He's a 60y/o 300lb man ^^ I had a fun time talking. The car doesn't have the ac, it has electronic ignition, it has a different head with a bit less compression (i'm guessing the E88 maybe?) and he hasn't driven it much in 4 years, but since he's a master tech, he HAD to keep it in perfect running order. I'm trying to think of things I could strip out of it to make it lighter. I think maybe I'll strip out the interior and cut up my own lighter interior. as well as ALL of the sound deadening (I love noise)
