Black centers with painted lip to match the red. I am doing this on my Z when I paint. Although I will have the wheels prior to paint they will be painted with the car and all pats getting black will be the same

polished everything, but add red to the inside edges of the spokes. so you have a polished face and red "peeking" through on the sides of the spokes.

 

since you seem to be leaning towards red somewhere i think this would be the way to tactfully add it in, without going overboard.

thanks everyone for the votes and comments. I think I'm going to go w/ the black centers and polished lip for now.

 

I have the wheels apart right now.

 

I'm thinking to take 1 of the wheels down and have 1 of them done with red lip as an example to see how it'd really look and then go from there.

why don't you use that red masking or duct tape to get an idea instead of painting a rim that you may have to clean up again.

I dunno why I like it, but I do. Perhaps its because one can buy cheap arse rims and they don't look quite as bad ala

 

I personally really don't like colour-coded wheels. The way I think of it, the CAR is red, the rest is black/chrome accents.

 

BTW Justin, what tyres are you planning on running on those monsters? And who do you know with a metal jigsaw? Coz I reckon you might be needing one.
