SR_man_49
For the past few months I've been swaping the L28ET into my 240sx. Tonight I finally got to attempt to start it. The problem Im having is that its cranking over but its not starting. Here is what I know. The starter is good The fuel pump is good Im getting spark I've got gas The harness is good. Im pretty sure I did the timing right. I dont have the alternator hooked up but i dont think that would be the issue. Any Idea's?
das_hef
im no expert, but im pretty sure your alternator needs to be hooked up for your engine to start.

HowlerMonkey
If you're using the L28 harness, did you get the fuel pump controller used in 1982 and 1983 cars? What year harness and engine?
SR_man_49
I got it started guys, I had my timing way off! lol, anyways i got that fixed and it starts but I have no compression in my #2 cyl . All other cyl's have 120 ~ 140psi, but #2 is 0psi. Any Ideas?

Any Ideas? perhaps one of your valves are bent or not sealing properly, your piston ring is chewed, or your spark plug seat is damaged. take your time, don't jump to conclusions. Kash
Zero psi has to be an open/ bent valve.
SR_man_49
Well my compression problem turned out to be a cracked head and a bad valve seat. I got a new head and just had a valve job done. Now im sitting at 150psi ~ 170psi. Considering im running flat top N/A pistons is this good compression??
