Hey guys, ive been on this bored on and off since i bought my Z about 5 years ago... i lose my name cause i don't sign on for months... but i love Z's of course... and still in my mind are the best car i know to modify and have as a project car... because the possibilities are endless....

Anyways i want to get to the point of this post...

Just bored here at work, and wondering, what ever happened to the first hybrid Z i ever saw that got me hooked on these things... it was back in 1995-96 when i noticed a neighbor down the street working on something in the garage. I guess it never really struck my interest to much mid-build cause i was a 13-14 year old kid at the time. Granted i have been working on motors since i was 12 with the old man tinkering on the dirt bikes and stuff.

All i can recall was seeing the almost finished project rolling down the street, looked like a test run only. The Z, I think, was Black with white or Silver stripes with a polished aluminum scoop similar to this...

cant really remember anything else... just that it sounded pretty mean...

i lived in Sacramento, in a neighborhood called Rosemont, near a light rail station on Fashion Drive.

i can legitimately say that that hybrid contributed to me loving Z's today....

Go to this web site and drop down to the Sac area meeting and e-mail their co-ordinator that question... BTW a great Z car club for Northern CA.......http://www.zonc.org/

The Sacramento area coordinator would be me. Tonight is our first meeting of the year. I will ask around. Plus I will do a drive about in that area for a look see.

I have a Scoop just like that, it is for a single carb. I do not use it but I liked it and bought it.
