JustinOlson
Well I have a leaky heater that keeps my warm but also humidifies the inside of the car. It is leaking on in the passenger side foot well. So I'm going to be looking at replacing the heater core shortly or complete heater assembly soon. Has anyone adapter a heater out of another car for the S30? I just want heat, not AC. I'd like to upgrade the fan as it really doesn't blow air vary fast. MJLamberson
what years the car?
hughdogz
Are you sure it is the core and not just the valve or one of the hoses? Gabe (WigenoutS30) said he used a Honda valve to replace his leaky one. Honda fans are a popular mod, heck maybe a Honda heater core will work too! WHP
I have not bought it yet but I am going to soon purchase one of these. Anybody using one of these? http://www.southernrods.com/search.php
JustinOlson
I will investigate tonight the best I can to determine if its the fan or the core itself. I guess I'll pull the fan so I can get a good look at it. I think I'll try replacing the fan. unit in the shroud with another unit. Thanks Guys. WHP
Before you go tearing everthing out as mentioned above check the hoses and valve. Get the motor real hot, turn on the heater and stand on your head with a good light and inspect carefully. That little 4" elbow hose is often the culprit. Mine took a dum on my wifes feet. Lucky she was not burned. Check the heater hoses too. It has been about 2 yrs ago but I got valves from the Nissan dealer.
Nismo280zEd
The heat in my Z was good once the car warmed up but that took forever for me. I'm looking at actually installing a ceramic heater in it (electric) they seem to be pretty popular with jeeps. Then I can have instant heat without suckn' the heat out of my motor in the winter. -Ed
